You Deserve Better

So I’m seriously trying to get my take on the new Daft Punk album out, but I still feel like I need to listen to it a couple more times. My very first impression on the album was it was mediocre, but with each subsequent listen, it quickly changed to godlike. I think it needs to settle a bit before I write anything more about it.

Starting off with an amazing track once again remixed by CHVRCHES of MS MR. I love it. It could be a CHVRCHES song for all I would know, the vocalists from both groups sound somewhat similar. I’m really liking the direction CHVRCHES is taking with the music they’re making, even if this isn’t an original. Second up is the RAC remix of YACHT Second Summer. It’s a bit slower, a bit toned down, but greatness from RAC again. Lastly, I had this sitting on my desktop for almost half a year. I should post a screenshot of my super cluttered desktop, it’d make most people cringe. The Anoraak remix of Tresors Pleine Lune which I unexpected was saving up until now. Wait for a minute in, shit gets serious.

MS MR – Hurricane (CHVRCHES Remix)

YACHT – Second Summer (RAC Remix)

Still can’t get over the fact that CHVRCHES remixed MS MR! I love how they made the song so dancy. Honestly the whole MS MR album is great on its own, but the remix is so on point.

Amer – I actually boghut like two NIN singles, of course, all of them packed with remixes, and it was all right, because I boghut them for the remixes. But he tended then to remixes at every chance he had, to the point he started to annoy me. The Things Falling Apart remix album lost me, especially because it was terribly mediocre. The Further Down the Spiral was ok (two versions? uggh), but why in heaven would you remix the Downward Spiral to begin with?? Anywayyyy I agree, some remixes are well-done, but an album full of remixes seems to me like a TERRIBLE idea, unless you think the original one was so crappy that it doesn’t matter what you do to it. It’s just me, of course

Nov02 During a recent trip to rural areas in nhtroern India I came across a huge spider near a farm, a thin one with long legs, overall the size of my palm, and the web big enough to cover a teenage kid but it looked beautifully in black with a yellow stripe. It didn’t look dangerous or menacing at all. Will share the picture on twitter and let you guy decide, I am sure even Jack would like to have it as a pet.
