The Night to Come

Starting off with the Soulwax remix of Arcade Fire Sprawl II, so much love for this. I love The Suburbs, and a Soulwax remix of a track from that album? Can’t go wrong. Unfortunately this has been sitting on my desktop for months at least; the drawbacks of not posting a lot is you get a lot of backlog. Second is the RAC remix of Escort Starlight. As you will see in this and future posts is, I may be going through a RAC binge. These guys have so much talent and genius, everything they touch is gold. If you remember their remix of Lana Del Rey? I still listen to that on a daily basis. Lastly, the Felix Da Housecat remix of RAC’s Hollywood. Check out the original too. I’m surprised, yet also amazed, that their original music is quite different from their remixes. Expect more...

Chocolate Chip Muffins and More!!

I’m eating a chocolate chip muffin, my creativity of post titles have kind of gone bust two years ago. Starting off with another Christian Strobe remix, this time of Arcade Fire No Cars Go! Great remix of a great song, it adds a nice spin to the original! And that’s coming from someone who didn’t even like Neon Bible. Second is the HLM remix of Ellie Goulding Lights. I really can’t get enough of Ellie Goulding. And lastly, the Justin Faust remix of Fabian. Enjoy!

I Am Canadian

It’s that time of the year where I shameless plug Canadian artists. Kind of a Canadian weekend update post. Haha, not actually, but strangely I’ve been finding this great new music coming out and they’re all Canadian. The only sore point of Canadian music at the moment is Justin Bieber, although he did get into the music industry pretty much on his own at an amazingly young age. I respect the guy, not his music for the obvious reason that I am not a twelve year old girl. Moving along, starting off with the new head liner Drake. It’s a mash-up by Chi Duly, it’s actually a whole mash-up album called October’s Very Cold mixing Coldplay and Drake. Anyways, this track mashes Drake I’m Still Fly featuring Page and Silver Medallion and Coldplay The Scientist. Every time I listen to the track, I hear the dubbed in vocals but I can’t help but sing The Scientist. It’s great. Second is from Arcade Fire and their new track We Used To Wait from their upcoming album The Suburbs due for August this year. I’m actually really excited now cause this track is amazing. I’ve listened to it too many times to count. And lastly, Stars Fixed from their upcoming album The Five Ghosts which comes out June 22nd, something to look forward to. You can actually stream the whole album here.
