So, my life is going 50 miles per second. Schools catching up on me and it seems my stuff is more interesting than I thought. I wish I had more time to listen to music because that world is becoming more and more exciting, I’m anticipating a good year. That’s my excuse, take it. New Feist album, I know, isn’t this an electro blog? No! Not completely. Also the new Justice album which I’m hoping is great despite that awful remix. Yeah okay, that’s about it, but I have good vibes. I totally missed the new SebastiAn and Carte Blanche albums coming from Ed Banger, more stuff for me to catch up on. I decided today not to post the newest tracks out there, but ones by my favorite musicians/producers. First is the Falcon Punch edit of Moullinex Lover In Me Ah Moulinex, how I miss thee. Please do some more remixes, I know your original stuff is great and probably more important but your remixes were pure gold. Second is the Breakbot remix of Pnau Baby which I was shown is on the GT5 soundtrack. And lastly, the Robotaki remix of Kavinsky. Old but still, I love everything Robotaki makes. Oh, and thanks Sam for the image.

Alright, short post today. Got a great Viceroy remix of Breakbot Fantasy. Good for the summer? A new remix of an older track, remember when we all went mad for Empire of the Sun? Nice reminder remix by ALGERONICS. It’s different from the ones I’ve heard though. And lastly, a metal remix by Designer Drugs of The Death Set.

The Death Set – They Come To Get Us (Designer Drugs Remix)
Let’s start off with an awesome remix by Aeroplane of Breakbot Baby I’m Yours. I’m always impressed by Aeroplane’s remixes, if you can remember their amazing remix of Au Revoir Simone last year. This sounds something almost out of Tron at the beginning, I love the retro sound and I’ve far from gotten my fix of it this year. I haven’t really paid much attention to Breakbot but I really have to listen to more of his stuff. The original track is completely different from the remix though; retro but not electro. Well, I haven’t posted any Katy Perry tracks in almost a year and in honor of her new, well month old single I will be posting the ALGERONICS remix of the California Gurls. Since that summer of I Kissed A Girl, Katy Perry really fell behind Lady Gaga at least in hype. Maybe that will change with a new album coming out this year. And lastly, the Epyk remix of Jamaica. Nice improvements to the track. I totally thought I posted Jamaica, this track was produced by Xavier de Rosnay from Justice. It seems I never did though.

Alright, here’s your mid-week update. Starting off with the Breakbot remix of Sneaky Sound System When We Were Young, again that sound I love. Slightly like an instrumental track or at least that’s what it felt like, not many vocals except for the little bits of repeats. It’s all good. Second is from Russ Chimes, his unofficial remix of Crystal Waters. Club house? Electro funk? Whatever it is I like the track. Last track is by Kaskade featuring Dragonette Fire In Your New Shoes. I’m always happy about new Dragonette, they’ve been collabing with a lot of music producers lately. Her voice is quite unique. And a bit of news, due to the leaking of their upcoming second self-titled album on the web, Crystal Castles will be releasing the album on their website April 23rd, this Friday. What’s up with all this leaking business? Labels seriously need to plug these leaks and stop chasing after their customers. Anyways, expect an album review in the very near future.

Hello, I found some above average tracks that you may or may not like. Not surprisingly, the first two come out of France. The Teenagers are amazing. Their own stuff is amazing. Their concerts are amazing. Their remixes are amazing. Consistent with other Teenager remixes, they convert an indie pop song (this one by we are Enfant Terrible) into a much more danceable track. Enjoy:

Over the past year and a half, Breakbot has served up some deliciously funky remixes. This one is no exception. It has that pristine production quality associated with Ed Banger, but stays in the realm of eighties-inspired R&B. Here to overload your Kavinsky dosage is another remix of Nightfalls.

I heard this in a bar and thought it was a cover of Miike Snow‘s ‘Animal’, a really really awesome cover. A few days later I discovered I was wrong as it was actually a very imaginative Mark Ronson remix of the original track. Not long after that, a Californian girl told me that this remix was “perfect to fill your bong to.” After a close listen, I think she may have described it most appropriately.
