I had serious doubts on if I could continue this blog. It’s getting harder and harder to find the specific type of music I love, I fully blame that on the lack of time I have which I used to have to scour the internet. I’ve been settling for shitty remixes lately, the stuff that gets on the top 50 of Hype Machine and fully judging the scene based on that. Forget that, I’m not looking for the newest most popular anymore. I watched Drive a couple months ago and after hearing Kavinsky, I slowly developed my love again for this music. Kavinsky was one of the first house artists I listened to outside of the mainstream when I started blogging, I definitely remember obsessing over Testarossa Autodrive for nights on end. Him and SebastiAn really helped pull me into Electro House, obviously overlooking Daft Punk and Justice. I went from listening to almost exclusively indie rock to full out electro house in a matter of months, then it mutated into retro electro which was a word I made up to describe the weirder version of electro, basically what Futureflashs and Moullinex did. Anyways, reinvigorated!! Speaking of retro, the Lenno remix of Futurecop! Starrset, I can always depend on Futurecop! for that. Going back pretty far back, the Kavinsky remix of SebastiAn Embody. And two Robotaki remixes of Apparat Organ Quartet and Popular Computer.
Futurecop! – Starworshipper (Lenno Remix)
SebastiAn – Embody (Kavinsky Remix)
Apparat Organ Quartet – 123 Forever (Robotaki Remix)
Popular Computer – Lointain (Robotaki Remix)
Got three awesome remixes for you this wonderful Friday before the holidays, for people in school anyways who are already off partying it up. You workaholics? Possibility of partying at work? Maybe in the cubicle. Let’s start off the Silicone Project remix of Futurecop! Dreams. The intro got me right away, maybe it’s the awesome beat or the strangely off-tune sound of it, whatever it is I love it. Not to mention Futurecop! is amazing, they totally should’ve made the soundtrack for the original Tron besides the fact that that movie predates them by nearly 20 years. Master Controller has nothing on me. The Yuksek remix of Vandroid Master & Slave, feeling a bit more industrial. There’s actually a bunch of great electro remix producers remixing this Vandroid track for the EP you should definitely check out. The Yuksek remix being one I liked more. And lastly, yes once again, Shinichi Osawa! Haven’t posted his stuff in a while, but Keenhouse makes great remixes.

Vandroid – Master & Slave (Yuksek Remix)
Shinichi Osawa – Zingaro (Keenhouse Remix)
That was quite a ride, apartment hunting wasn’t easy looking for somewhere temporary less than a year, pure stupidity to attempt such a task but I made it happen. With all that looking and stress, I totally forgot about the little things like getting internet and listening to music altogether. It’s all done now, except for the annoying lady downstairs who complains we’re somehow making too much noise while napping, maybe it’s the garbage chute right beside your god damn apartment or the garage right underneath? My friend said it best, make better life decisions, if you want quiet buy a more quiet unit. As for the blog? A thousand unread emails in my inbox later, I’ll be here, not like I was in 2008 where I posted 1-2 times a day, but it’ll be more than zero times a month I’ll promise you that much. Those emails will probably never be read, so if it was really important you might want to email again. Other things I missed? The new Arcade Fire album which is seemingly the revival of their music. I am super excited about this one and will have to drop by the music store to pick it up.
Let’s start off this resurrection with some tracks from this week. First off is the Anoraak remix of Neon Indian Psychic Chasms, a band I haven’t given enough attention to on this blog. Very chillwave as wiki put it. Second is the Fred Falke remix of Florrie, this is like the third or fourth great remix coming from that pair. Really liking the beats, as usual from Fred Falke that’s of no surprise. And lastly, The Ooga Booga remix of Futurecop! which really really reminds me of the good old days. I can always trust Futurecop! to do that for me. I’ll listening to more music from my inbox and spread around more, expect less top week tracks. I’ll be less lazy.
Neon Indian – Psychic Chasms (Anoraak Remix)
Florrie – Give Me Your Love (Fred Falke Club Edit)
Futurecop! – Transformers (Ooga Booga Remix)
