Hungry for music

Started the week off with a rather long review, now for a short post. I’m pooped in terms of writing, I’m not a writer by nature. I have been waiting a long time to post this track, a long time being really only a week and the track being the ATLAS remix of Yeah Yeah Yeahs Maps. I love it. Sasha actually posted another one of their remixes last week of The Crystal Method, I haven’t actually heard of ATLAS before but I’m pleasantly surprised. While we’re still buzzing about Crystal Castles, the LightsoverLA remix of Vietnam, what a great remix. What Crystal Castles would sound like if they picked up full-on electro I guess. And lastly, a mash-up from Ha! Yes again this time of Lupe Fiasco Superstar and Empire of the Sun Walking on a Dream, a great mix.

April Fools

So today is April Fools day. For those of you who forgot, this is a great reminder before you get tricked. No April fools from me this year, I’m still getting a laugh from last years post. Alright, let’s start this hump day off with a great remix from Boss in Drama of Miami Horror Sometimes. You can watch the video here, it’s a great track. There’s a sound in the remix which I really love. It’s that one key strike synth sound. Not sure how else to explain it, but it’s throughout the track as a beat. Second is I guess more ambiance club remix coming from LightsoverLA of Miike Snow, posted their remix of Two Door Cinema Club last week. And lastly, The Dirty Disco remix of Penguin Prison The Worse It Gets.

Two Door Cinema Club – What You Know Remixes

I decided to post a few alterations on Two Door Cinema Club‘s What You Know. The track itself is pretty amazing considering they’re coming from the spur of indie bands born in the UK and Ireland. It’s hard to sound unique in that vague genre these days, but these guys did a decent job at it. It’s that that guitar riff and I really can’t get enough of it. Starting off with a mash-up of the song with Down AKA Kilo Lean like a Cholo of course by The White Panda. What other mash-up artist? Also the remixes by Redlight and LightsoverLA which give the song that extra “umph”.
